Alvin Safe Haven Foundation is a Nonprofit Organization founded in 2023 by Alicia McElderry, Patricia Allen and Christopher McElderry. The founders’ purpose is to provide services to individuals with Intellectual Disabilities. Creating a safe and growing environment.

Our Mission

Our Mission is to provide a Wholistic Safe Haven Group Home for adults with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other severe developmental disabilities. Offering Emotional Support, Education, Behavioral Health Counseling, and Life Skills they need to succeed.

Services Provided

  • Mental/Behavioral Health Counseling based off Intellectual assessment.

  • Therapeutic Activities such as Introduction to Yoga, Massages, dancing, cooking, hiking, making art, and other social skills.

  • Provide transportation to and from Doctor’s appointments, Day Program, shopping and daily activities.

  • Weekly Grooming which includes haircuts, nail trims and etc.

  • Respite Program: Weekend Getaways with Family and Group Home Residents.

  • Family Day: Families can spend quality time with their loved ones.

  • Field Trips to Amusement Parks, Florida Beaches, National Parks and Museums.
